Terms of Service — Ufaild

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Ufaild mobile application ("the App") operated by Michael Crowther ("we", "us", or "our"). By using the App you agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Ufaild, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Ufaild is an accountability application that helps users schedule tasks, verify completion through AI-powered proof submission, and track performance through daily reflections (obituaries and pre-mortems). The App uses artificial intelligence to verify task completion and generate personalized accountability responses.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 17 years old to use Ufaild. By using the App you confirm you meet this requirement.
4. Account Registration
You may sign in using Apple Sign In. You are responsible for:
Maintaining the security of your account
All activity that occurs under your account
Providing accurate information
5. Subscriptions and Payments
Pricing
Ufaild offers the following subscription plans:
Weekly: $6.99 per week
Yearly: $129.99 per year
Billing
All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. By subscribing you authorize Apple to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
No Free Trial
Ufaild does not offer a free trial period. Payment is charged immediately upon subscription.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial periods.
Price Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription prices with reasonable notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.
6. AI-Powered Features
Task Verification
Ufaild uses AI (Anthropic Claude) to verify task completion based on screenshots, written summaries, or circumstance explanations you submit. The AI's decision is final unless you submit a valid resubmission within the App's allowed limits.
Accuracy
AI verification is designed to be strict but fair. We do not guarantee 100% accuracy. If you believe a verification decision is incorrect, you may use the resubmission feature or circumstance explanation feature within the App.
Daily Reflections
Your daily obituary and pre-mortem entries are processed by AI to generate accountability responses. These responses are generated automatically and do not constitute professional advice of any kind.
7. User Content
Your Content
You retain ownership of content you create in the App (task descriptions, daily entries, proof screenshots). By submitting content you grant us a limited license to process it for the purpose of operating the App.
Prohibited Content
You must not submit content that is illegal, harmful, or violates third-party rights.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
Use the App for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to manipulate or deceive the AI verification system
Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the App's source code
Use the App in any way that could damage or impair its functionality
Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:
Uninterrupted or error-free operation
That AI verification decisions will always be accurate
That the App will meet your specific requirements
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to lost productivity, missed deadlines, or reliance on AI-generated content.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Mental Health Disclaimer
Ufaild uses direct, confrontational language as part of its accountability approach. This is intentional and agreed to by users during onboarding. If you are experiencing mental health difficulties, please seek support from a qualified professional. The App is not a substitute for professional mental health support.
12. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the App settings.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved in Australian courts.
