This Privacy Policy describes how Ufaild ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Ufaild mobile application ("the App").


1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Account information: When you sign in with Apple, we receive your name and email address (or a private relay email if you choose to hide your email).

  • Daily entries: Your daily obituary reflections and pre-mortem entries that you write within the App.

  • Task data: Tasks you create, including names, descriptions, categories, and scheduled times.

  • Proof submissions: Screenshots, text summaries, or written explanations you upload as proof of task completion.

  • Profile preferences: Your alarm time, active days, notification settings, morning buffer duration, and night cutoff time.

  • Goal and profession information: The goal type and profession category you select during onboarding.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage data: How you interact with the App, including task completion rates, streak data, and sleep hours (calculated from alarm and night cutoff times).

  • Device information: Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers for push notification delivery.

  • Push notification tokens: Used to deliver task reminders, alarm notifications, and accountability notifications.

AI Interactions

  • Your daily obituary entries and pre-mortem responses are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for AI-generated responses. These interactions are processed in accordance with Anthropic's privacy policy.

  • Task descriptions and proof screenshots are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for verification purposes.


2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and operate the App's core accountability features

  • Deliver your scheduled alarm and task notifications

  • Generate AI responses to your daily obituary and pre-mortem entries

  • Verify task completion using AI analysis of submitted proof

  • Calculate your completion rates, streaks, and consistency data

  • Display your performance history and statistics

  • Process subscription payments through Apple's in-app purchase system and RevenueCat


3. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database provider. Data is stored on servers in the EU (Ireland) region. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data.

Proof screenshots are stored in private, encrypted cloud storage and are only accessible to you and our AI verification system.


4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Anthropic (Claude API): Powers AI responses to your obituary, pre-mortem entries, and task verification. anthropic.com/privacy

  • Supabase: Database and authentication infrastructure. supabase.com/privacy

  • RevenueCat: Subscription management and payment processing. revenuecat.com/privacy

  • Expo / Expo Notifications: Push notification delivery infrastructure.

  • Apple Sign In: Authentication via Apple ID.


5. Subscriptions and Payments

Ufaild offers paid subscriptions processed through Apple's App Store. Payment information is handled entirely by Apple and is not stored by us. RevenueCat is used to manage subscription status. We do not have access to your credit card or payment details.


6. Data Retention

  • Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active.

  • Daily entries (obituaries and pre-mortems) are retained to power your historical performance data and weekly AI summaries.

  • Proof screenshots are retained to maintain your verified completion history.

  • If you delete your account, all personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days.


7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data

  • Export your data

  • Delete your account and all associated data

  • Opt out of push notifications at any time via your device settings

8. Children's Privacy

Ufaild is not intended for users under the age of 17. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 17. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.


9. Push Notifications

We send push notifications for:

  • Daily alarm reminders

  • Task block start reminders

  • Accountability notifications when tasks are missed

  • Night cutoff reminders

You can disable push notifications at any time in your iPhone Settings → Notifications → Ufaild.


10. Screenshots and Proof Data

Screenshots you upload as task proof are:

  • Stored in private cloud storage accessible only to you

  • Analyzed by our AI verification system (Anthropic Claude)

  • Never shared with other users or third parties

  • Retained as part of your completion history


11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes via the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
